No Class

By now, you've probably heard that Senator Harry Reid (D, no idea where and don't really care) called President Bush a loser.
"The man's father is a wonderful human being," Reid said in response to a question about President Bush's policies. "I think this guy is a loser."

"I think President Bush is doing a bad job," he added to a handful of chuckles.

For some reason, everyone is jumping on the fact that President Bush was out of the country when Senator Reid said this (probably because he can't just fire back like he might be able to if he was Stateside). Well, that would explain this:
"You know the president is in Europe, probably sleeping," Reid said in an interview this afternoon. "But I called (Karl) Rove and apologized for what I said."
Yippee skip, Harry. You make a dig at the President, realize that you just might have gone a bit too far, so you call Rove (not the President) and apologize. Then you get another dig in with the press (the sleeping crack).

Senator Reid, you obviously never got the memo on how things work in the US. Pundits make snide remarks. Elected officials maintain some decorum- it tends to make you look just a little more mature. (I'm sure if you really enjoy playing the part of a pundit that the nice Republicans wherever it is you're from will help get you out of your current job so you can devote yourself full time to trash talking the opposition.) Then again, your party is the party of immature, classless whiners. Thanks for making sure the whole world knows it.
