All The News That's Fit To... Surf For?
Here's my look at today's headlines:
General:
General:
- A guy tried to kill his girlfriend... and got killed in the process. Gotta love poetic justice.
- German authorities are taking the logical approach to keeping track of G8 protesters- scent tracking.
- Iger explains Disney's lack of response to the Muslim terror rat.

- Reason #324503495836 why public schools scare me.
- Murtha might actually get censured? Cool.
- Democrats are talking about sending the President an Iraq spending bill with no timeline, but with an increase in minimum wage. Clean bill, people... a clean bill.
- McCain is taking pot shots at Romney... again.
- Everybody's talking about John Edwards asking $55,000 to give a speech at UC Davis on poverty. I hate to say this, but... talking, right now, is the man's job. $55k for a speech given by a former VP candidate is... well... cheap. There are so many other things to rip him on... this is... trite.
- Dallas is hosting the 2011 Super Bowl. Yippee. Traffic will be backed up all the way to Waco.
- I love it when people ignore PETA. Especially colleges.
- Ernie Banks will get a statue at Wrigley Field.
- Evidently, the fine folks of Palmerston North , New Zealand aren't big John Cleese fans. I can't understand why they're upset, and I think their response is quite funny. I think Mr. Cleese will approve. Which is probably not what they were looking for.
- Paula Abdul tripped over her chihuahua and broke her nose and toe. Kick the dog, Paula.
- Stone Phillips is getting the ax at NBC. Am I happy or sad about this? Don't really care, actually.
- Italians are saying that Barbara Streisand's ticket prices are "immoral." Personally, I think that her music is torturous.
- Scientists think that President Lincoln may have had small pox when he delivered the Gettysburg Address.
- A 60-year-old woman in New Jersey gave birth to twins.
- Animals in and around the Denver zoo are dying... from the plague. Officials say that human infection is "unlikely." I'd still avoid the zoo like... well... like the plague.
- The Mars rovers have found more evidence of water in Mars' past. Personally, I think global warming made it all evaporate. But that's just me.
