Here are some of the articles that have caught my eye the last few days:

- This whole plan sounds quite... racist, doesn't it?
- A soccer match was decided... 113 years after it began.
- So far, fans in LA haven't seen much of Beckham. They paid how much to get him?
- There were far fewer scandals when Americans were winning the Tour.
- My beloved Cards won... but it's bitter-sweet because our win benefited the vile Cubbies. That's not good.

- Piazza is going to press charges against a fan who threw a water bottle at him. Not sure how I feel about it- I mean, he was wearing a helmet. He didn't get hurt. Well, except for his feelings, that is.

- Brian May has been keeping busy in between concert tours.

- If you're going to tell your coworkers that your wife died in order to scam some money, you might want to make sure your wife doesn't answer the door when they come to see how you're coping with your loss. Just a thought...
