A Quick Round-Up
It's been a while since I've done one of these. News has been kind of... unnewsworthy lately.
General:

- He didn't know it was in his carry-on? How does that happen?
- Will she become the next Terri Schiavo?

- Benazir Bhutto was laid to rest today. I don't believe that she was the paragon of change that everyone made her out to be. But she had the courage of her convictions, she wanted to rid her country of terrorists, and she didn't seem to mind flaunting her disdain for Islamic fundamentalists, and for that, I salute her. (I don't find it nearly as odd as I should that there was no autopsy. And, supposedly, there was no gun shot wounds. Very iiiinteresting.)
- Is the zoo director trying to get sued?
- What is netball and why do boys have to play it?
- This is going to have Michael Newdow's panties in a wad, isn't it?
- You gotta love the Brits- kids vandalize a war memorial, and the woman who tries to stop them gets arrested.
- Is this a good idea or Big Brother tactics?
- A tiger was found dead... in Dallas. Apparently, he was someone's pet.
- It's a sad commentary on our society if a Baby Jesus statue had to have a tracking device installed so it could be recovered if it was stolen... again.
- I'm trying to feel sorry for this moron. I'm just not feeling it, though.
- Although I can see their point, it does seem kind of odd that a Jewish organization wouldn't hire someone simply because she's an observant Jew.
- That'll teach him to be helpful.
- City officials tried to declare a gun range a nuisance in order to make way for a new development.
- I don't know enough about gun manufacturers to know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
- But will voters actually read it?Or even care? (It would be nice if someone did that for American politics. Not that anyone would care, right?)
- If Ron Paul accidentally gets something right, would anyone care?
- Hillary's not answering questions these days. Surprised? Not so much. But she'll take time to run a two minute spot on the 2nd. I am so glad I don't live in Iowa.
- Would it be wrong of me to wish that Huck had better aim?
- Maybe the O should have stuck with celebrity antics and relationship advice.
- I wasn't aware that there was inherent racism in the United States. (I don't like Obama's policies, but I like his answer.)
- That must have been some Christmas party.
- Wow. A Frenchman I can respect. I wonder if his book has an English translation...
- Not bad for 5000-year-old ice skates. Not sure I'd wear 'em, though.

- I didn't know "gross" was a crime.
