Day of Silence
Today, in schools around the country, kids will actually be quiet in class. Unfortunately, it's not a sign that schools have instituted sane discipline measures. Far from it. The kids are silent in "solidarity" with the gay, lesbian, bi, and transgender students. uh... um... yeah, I'm bordering on speechless here.
The "Day of Silence" has been around for a few years. Every year, I shake my head in sad resignation that our country has truly gone to hell in a handbasket. What I find odd is that the GLSEN group who started DoS claims that gay students have to remain silent to avoid bullying and harassment. Now, students who believe that homosexual behavior is a sin are the ones who must be silent, fearing reprimand for daring to speak their mind.
Matt Barber has a great piece on Townhall.com about DOS and The Day of Truth. There are truths the homosexual community refuse to face- their lifestyle kills. Leave morality out of it a moment- gay men's life expectancy is up to 20 years shorter than straight men. Facts are facts.
Here, in our little schoolroom, today is not a day of silence. In fact, I think it might just be a day of discussion. (h't to HDD)
