Don't Dis Sarah

Like proper gentlemen, several Republicans have had the opportunities to knock around "journalists" who have been taking shots at Governor Palin. She has quite the loyal fan base- IMO, rightly so. Here are a couple of my favorite blasts...

This is what happens when you lob a gimme to Newt:

Yikes! That's going to leave a mark. And, what "openings" did he leave, exactly, Keith? Yeah... none...

Evidently, ABC doesn't want you to embed videos, so go here to see Rudy tell Diane Sawyer to just give her a chance.

Here is a campaign ad, comparing Governor Palin to Senator Obama. It seems odd that they are comparing the Presidential candidate to the Vice-presidential candidate, but it does prove a point- she's more qualified than either of the Democrat candidates.

Here is Fred!'s speech from last night at the RNC. It's the full speech, but his comments about Governor Palin is within the first five minutes.

He's probably got a point about field dressing a moose. And she is a breath of fresh air.

I can't figure out how to embed this video, but it's Andrea Mitchell asking if there's just too much intensity, if Governor Palin is just too popular.

I have a few other Governor Palin links. Here are two by Democrats who are fed up with their party. First we have the Wizard (language alert, but it's used in context), with this great quote:
September 2nd, 2008. The 2008 Election ended this morning as a vast cadre of liberals, progressives, Democrats and like minded journalists lifted the white flag and surrendered.

We surrendered something a whole lot more valuable than our vote. We surrendered our principles. We surrendered our core values.

... So I thought the extremely bizarre story, so obvious a blatant lie, that somehow appeared in The Daily Kos, claiming Governor Sarah Palin had somehow faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her wayward teenage daughter would be laughed off and quickly vanish form the Kos pages like the trash it was. It was a joke, A sad, sick joke.

But instead of the aborted fetus it should have been, it was born full grown into the waiting arms of liberal bloggers and journalists, who quickly passed out cigars and congratulated themselves as proud mamas and papas. All this in spite of the fact that absolutely everyone knew the story was an absolute lie.

The only thing we aborted was the truth.
Some who read this blog may argue whether or not the Democrats have principles and core values, but that is neither here nor there. The point is that there are many Democrats, not the hard core libs, but the everyday Democrats, who are appalled by the behavior of the media and the leftie bloggers. I just wish more of them would wake up and see it.

Next, we have Sheila at the Gawker (with a not very attractive photo of either Governor Palin or a good photoshop), who has finally realized that liberals aren't as open-minded as they think they are:
And so the precious blue-state liberals reveal themselves to be the small-minded yokels suspicious of anything and everyone that's different.
Yeah, Sheila... we've known that for a while.

This final link is kind of an insider joke, only for those who have been watching the new Battlestar Galactica series on SciFi. This is really funny, especially after you see these comparisons. And, yeah... once you think about it, they're close to accurate. Not perfect, but close.

Tonight's speaker schedule at the RNC looks interesting. Governors Lindle (Hawaii), Romney and Huckabee, GOPAC chair Michael Steele,  and Mayor Rudy Giuliani will all speak before Governor Palin is introduced and speaks. Interesting lineup.
