Movin' On Up
So... all of you folks who are at least my age (not quite 40)... remember The Jeffersons? Remember Sanford and Son? If so, you'll know that Weezie and 'Lizabeth are two important names, right? The wives.
Barack Obama remembers one of those names. As usual, off-script, he doesn't know what he's talking about.
Why is this even mentionable? For one, this is a pop culture reference that he should know. Second, if it was a Republican who botched it, the MSM would have it on the air 24/7. Third, as mentioned in the comments at the link, Weezie and her hubby finally got a piece of the pie after years of hard work. Come to think of it, 'Lizabeth's hubby was a self-made man, as well. Finally, when we're looking at who we want as President, don't we want someone who can think on his feet and improvise when necessary? Obama is lost without a teleprompter.

Barack Obama, in Raleigh, N.C., was doing a riff attacking John McCain for supporting the idea of putting some mandatory retirement money into the stock market.
"If Senator McCain is elected, we'll have another president who wants to privatize part of your Social Security. Could you imagine if you had your Social Security invested in the stock market these last two weeks, these last two months? You wouldn't need Social Security. You'd be having a -- like, what was it, Sanford and Son. `I'm coming Weezie!"
