A Bad American

Fred and GuyK, add my name to the list of Bad Americans.
I Am Your Worst Nightmare. I am a BAD American.

I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some mid level governmental functionary, be it Democratic or Republican!

I believe that owning a gun doesn’t make you a killer, I believe it makes you a smart American. ( Unless you own a gun and are afraid to use it.)

I believe that being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and does not entitle you to anything.

I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac, do it in English.

I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God when and where they want to.

My heroes are John Wayne, Babe Ruth, Roy Rogers, and whoever canceled Jerry Springer.

I don’t hate the rich. I don’t pity the poor.

I know wrestling is fake and I don’t waste my time watching or arguing about it.

I’ve never owned a slave, or was a slave, and I WILL NOT pay reparations for something that I didn’t do.

I haven’t burned any witches or been persecuted by the Turks and neither have you! So, shut up already.

This is AMERICA, I believe if you don’t like the way things are here, go back to where you came from and change your own country!

I want to know which church it is exactly, where the Reverend Jesse Jackson preaches, where he gets his money, and why he is always part of the problem and not the solution. Can I get an AMEN on that one?

I think the cops have every right to shoot your sorry ass if you’re running from them, because if you’re not guilty, WHY are you running?

I also think the cops have the right to pull you over if you’re breaking the law, regardless of what color you are, that’s the job we’re paying them to do.

And, no, I don’t mind having my face shown on my drivers license. I think it’s good, it lets you know it’s really me.

I’m proud that the word ’God’ is written on my money.

I believe that if you are too stupid to know how a ballot works, I don’t want you deciding who should be running the most powerful nation in the world for the next four years.

I dislike those people standing in the intersections trying to sell me stuff or trying to guilt me into making ‘donations’ to their cause.

I believe that it doesn’t take a village to raise a child, it takes two parents.

I believe ‘illegal’ is illegal no matter what the law makers think.

I believe the American flag should be the only one allowed to fly over American soil! If you want to fly the flag of YOUR nation at the top of a flag pole, by all means, do so, IN YOUR OWN NATION! And if the American flag is NOT your flag, then this is NOT your nation

If this makes me a BAD American or causes you to classify me as a racist, then yes, I’m a BAD American and a racist.

If you’re a BAD American, if you share the same feelings and beliefs that I do, please, copy and post this on your web site for everyone to see.

We want our country back! GOD BLESS AMERICA!

AMEN.

At The Movies

Well, not yet... but soon...

First, we have Indoctrinate U. Here's their explanation of the documentary:
Speech codes. Censorship. Enforced political conformity. Hostility to diversity of opinion. Sensitivity training. We usually associate such things with the worst excesses of fascism and communism, not with the American universities that nurtured the free speech movement. But American higher education bears a disturbing resemblance to the totalitarian societies that are anathema to our nation's ideal of liberty. Evan Coyne Maloney's documentary film, Indoctrinate U, reveals the breathtaking institutional intolerance you won't read about in the glossy marketing brochures of Harvard, Berkeley, Michigan, Yale, and hundreds of other American colleges and universities.
There isn't a national release date yet, but they are having screenings all around the country.

And next we have Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed. It "stars" Ben Stein, so you know it will be good. Check out the trailer on the web site. I love the tag line-

I'm putting links to these movies' web sites in my side bar for the time being. Go see them if you get the chance.

It Never Fails

Watching these guys do their thing gives me the chills every time. Can't explain it.

Like Drew said, it's nice to see crowds cheering for some real heroes instead of the Hollywood blech. I especially like the "thank yous" yelled at the end.

This Is Interesting...

Listen carefully (or not so, really) to this video... there will be a quiz...

Pop quiz... if you're in a classroom, and someone whispers the answer to you, what's that called?

In politics, I think that's called "sloppy advisors", but I could be wrong. (h/t to RWS from the Cotillion)

Rumors of His Death...

... have been greatly exaggerated.
Slim Whitman would like to clear something up: He’s alive and doing pretty well despite reports of his death on Monday.

...“All of a sudden on Sunday, Jan. 20, I died,” said Whitman, who turned 84 on Sunday. “I knew it was a lie. I kept looking at it. I thought, this could sort of get out of hand here. I thought, oh well, if it gets out of hand, I’ll go on a TV show and show them that I’m not dead.”
Well, I guess if anyone would know if he's dead, it would be him, right?

Not Just for Catholics

I got this link from The Anchoress, and there are a lot of Catholic-specific concepts. But there are quite a few points to ponder that are universal to all churches, I'd think. The Anchoress was right about the cell phones, though. I would guess that Catholics' cell phones don't go off during Mass, but my dad has told me enough stories that I know otherwise. (language alert on the link- the language that's in there is well placed and adds a little... something.)

So Very... Guy

OK, guys... deny it. I dare you.

What Is That?

We're still at my parents' house. I woke up this morning, and there's this odd white substance on the ground. There's not much, just a light dusting, but there is definitely some white stuff on the sidewalk and driveway.

Is this the fabled "snow" I've heard so much about? Supposedly, I played in it as a child, but... after spending over a decade in Texas, my memories of sleds and mittens have faded.

It's not much... but it's SNOW!!!!!

I Have a Dream

I'm not sure if I've told this story before, so I'll tell it again.

When I was in high school, I was on the speech team. Usually, I did "duet acting", where a friend of mine and I would act out a scene from some work we'd usually never really heard of ("To Burn a Witch" was my favorite, although "Who's on First" was the "most famous"). Occasionally, I was asked to compete in the poetry reading competition, and I'd recite the last portion of Stephen Vincent Benet's Army of Northern Virginia where he talks about Traveller, the horse, and his master. And once, I was asked to recite a speech.

I was supposed to choose a speech given by a famous person, and then recite the speech for the judges. My coach gave me books of speeches and told me that I could also go to the library to search out a speech. I contemplated a few that Ronald Reagan had given early in his presidency, but I couldn't edit them down to the alloted time without losing the power I read in his words. I probably read dozens of speeches, and I narrowed it down to two- "I Have a Dream" by Martin Luther King, Jr., and another speech I don't even remember now (I think it was by some big wig at Apple concerning future technology, but it was my second choice and, although it was a good speech, it wasn't "I Have a Dream.")

I went to my speech coach and told her I'd chosen my speech. When I gave her the title, she looked very uncomfortable. She informed me that I couldn't do that speech. It was appropriate, you see... because I'm not black.

Huh? I must not have heard her correctly. I mean... isn't that the whole POINT of the speech? Yes, I asked her that. She said that she loves the speech, but the judges wouldn't look favorably on a white girl giving that speech- it's only given by black students.

Wow. Talk about completely missing the dream of Dr. King.

In the end, I gave the other speech. I wasn't mature enough or stubborn enough to push the issue. I still wish I had.

Surprise! Not So Much

Well, the boys and I are in the St. Louis area. We had a not-so-much surprise party last night to celebrate my parents' 40th wedding anniversary. (Mom figured it out sometime last week.) We had about 75 people there, and fun and full tummies were had by all.

We'll fly back to Texas on Wednesday evening. This is not a light-blogging alert- just a venue change alert.

Now... back to the Green Bay/Giants game... Go, Pack!

Dustoff Three-Zero... 3 Heroes On Board

This video is just amazing...

Here's the CJTF-82 account of the rescue.
Consider this scenario: The Crew Chief operates the hoist, as he pulls a casualty into the aircraft. This is a one person operation that is difficult to perform when the casualty is in a SKED, especially when the casualty has the added weight of body armor and equipment. The Medic rides the hoist to the ground and back up, time and time again. Imagine performing this operation 20-25 continuous times wearing Night Vision Goggles (NVGs), the Crew Chief continuing to advise the pilots of aircraft drift and rotor clearance as the mountain side is dangerously close. He ensures the hoist is ready for the next lift and watches the Medics hand and arm signals as he also directs the positioning of the aircraft. It becomes apparent this task is physically exhausting and difficult to master in routine conditions, let alone this punishing-unforgiving terrain at night.

The cabin of the aircraft becomes crowded, and the difficulty the Crew Chief and the Medic have maneuvering recovered personnel inside becomes increasingly challenging. Dust-off has a crew of 4: Pilot, Copilot, Crew Chief, and Medic. During one of the earlier MEDEVAC missions the previous night, Dust-off, with its normal crew of 4, extracted 8 casualties, and 1 non-injured soldier in a single lift for a total of 13 on board. That operation was conducted under zero-lunar-illumination NVG conditions with no supplemental lighting used in the rear of the aircraft due to the tactical situation, adding dramatically to the level of difficulty.

Dust-off departed the pick-up (PZ) zone after 31 combined hours of medical evacuation, and without further incident. Dust-off was PZ clean.

Ode To The One and Only... The Favre

Did y'all watch the Packers game today? That is how football is supposed to be played. Not in a climate-controlled dome, but in the elements... in the snow...

I just found this, but it was written back in November. Still true.
NBC has "Bionic Woman." The NFL has Brett Favre, the bionic man. Guess which one is having the better season? I don't know what you're eating, Mr. Favre, but pass the candy dish.

You're maybe the last American hero. A postmodern DiMaggio. A Wyatt Earp. You're about 140 years old, with the smile of an 8-year-old and a gun like Zeus.
Go read the whole thing. It's good.

They Are Morons

The DoJ, that is. (A link to the brief is at the top of the page.) Many of you may know that a lower circuit court has overturned the DC gun ban, and it's going before the appellate court. The US DoJ, in the name of Solicitor General, has issued an amicus brief- in favor of DC.

Mr. Clement, which part of "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed" do you not understand?

An Oldie But a Goodie

Are you a Democrat, a Republican, or a Redneck?

Here is a little test that will help you decide.

You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, an Islamic terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the knife, and charges at you.

You are carrying a Glock cal 40, and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.

What do you do?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Democrat's Answer
Well, that's not enough information to answer the question!
Does the man look poor! Or oppressed?
Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
Could we run away?
What does my wife think? What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?
What does the law say about this situation?
Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it?
Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?
Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?
If I were to grab his knees and hold on , could my family get away while he was stabbing me?
Should I call 9-1-1 ?
Why is this street so deserted?
We need to raise taxes, have a paint and weed day and make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.
This is all so confusing!
I need to discuss with some friends over a latte and try to come to a consensus.
Republican's Answer:
And I Thought I Was The Meanest Mommy Ever
(h/t to ctg) We need more parents like her.
After finding alcohol in her son's car, she decided to sell the car and share her 19-year-old's misdeed with everyone — by placing an ad in the local newspaper.
The ad reads: "OLDS 1999 Intrigue. Totally uncool parents who obviously don't love teenage son, selling his car. Only driven for three weeks before snoopy mom who needs to get a life found booze under front seat. $3,700/offer. Call meanest mom on the planet."
So far, she's sold the car and received a lot of positive feedback about her disciplinary techniques (well... except for her son... he's not happy).
I hope I never have to top her efforts.
Silly Questions In The Morning
I can't help but hear the sound bites from the Democrat candidates. This week's theme seems to be "change" and how much America needs it. It's been "change" this and "change" that. Two questions this morning while I wait for the coffee to kick in:
  1. What in the United States needs to be changed and not just tweeked a bit? (If your answer isn't "taxes, welfare, and gov't spending", you have the wrong answer)
  2. Can you make change for a $20?
When Frank T. Carvill told his sister he had been called up to go to Iraq, she was stunned. "Gee, Frank, are you going to be part of the AARP battalion?" she teased.
Carvill joined the Guard in the 80's out of a sense of patriotism. He was a devoted big brother to Peggy Liguori, who still remembers how as kids, he took her to see “Blue Hawaii” and “Born Free” at the movies. He was the longtime pal to Rick Rancitelli who admired Carvill’s “million-dollar vocabulary” and his writing and public speaking skills. In 1993. Sgt. Carvill was working in the WTC as a paralegal when it was attacked. He helped a co-worker down 54 floors to safety. In 2001, he was still working at the WTC. He had just left the North Tower moments before the first plane hit.
Sgt. Carvill was killed when his convoy was attacked outside of Baghdad.
It's not on the web site, but I received a phone call from the radio station this morning, and I officially won the football challenge. The prize is 18 gift cards (I only know 4 of the retailers right now, and I know that there are multiples of some). Works for me!
How Did You Spend Your Christmas Vacation?
Photobucket ummm... it would probably be best for me to post this without comment... yeah...
RETARDED GRANDPARENTS - (this was actually reported by a teacher)
After Christmas, a teacher asked her young pupils how they spent their holiday away from school. One child wrote the following:
We always used to spend the holidays with Grandma and Grandpa. They used to live in a big brick house but Grandpa got retarded and they moved to Florida . Now they live in a tin box and have rocks painted green to look like grass. They ride around on their bicycles and wear name tags because they don't know who they are anymore. They go to a building called a wreck center, but they must have got it fixed because it is all okay now, they do exercises there, but they don't do them very well. There is a swimming pool too, but they all jump up and down in it with hats on. At their gate, there is a doll house with a little old man sitting in it. He watches all day so nobody can escape. Sometimes they sneak out, and go cruising in their golf carts. Nobody there cooks, they just eat out. And, they eat the same thing every night --- early birds. Some of the people can't get out past the man in the doll house. The ones who do get out, bring food back to the wrecked center for pot luck. My Grandma says that Grandpa worked all his life to earn his retardment and says I should work hard so I can be retarded someday too. When I earn my retardment, I want to be the man in the doll house. Then I will let people out, so they can visit their grandchildren.
Hillary Clinton has declared that, by definition, Vladamir Putin doesn't have a soul. What's even better than her little quote (which, I'm sure, she'll claim she either didn't say or that it was taken out of context) is the comment section. Here's my favorite.
Well, That Was Ugly...
Bob Stoops can't coach his way out of a bowl if he tried.
I Guess It Takes All Kinds, Right?
I was just going to delete this comment and ban him and carry on (I'm more than a little peeved that this drivel was dumped on one of the Wednesday's Heroes posts), but... I'm not even sure if I get what s/he's trying to say.
Schwartzenegger insists the victims of the 2007 Southern California firestorm temporarily residing at Jack Murphy Stadium are happy.
First he calls Tonight Show host Jay Leno an "idiot". Then he drops this bomb.
If it were Gray Davis the gods would have their media attack him mercilessly for these mistakes. Together they may be enough to cost any other politician his career. But not Arnold Schwartzenegger.
They say he makes comments like these all the time, clues which are all buried. And it's because they have BIG plans for him::::He is a tool who will be used to accomplish historical evil for the gods.
They say there is a strange sense of "unease" at the State Capital, like he doesn't belong there. And he doesn't. He is not American. Sadly this is an issue that is too readily discounted:::::
He is not from the United States. His loyalties lie with a country that was the enemy of the United States a mere 65 years ago.
Just as we witnessed with Clinton in 1992 expect blacks to register and vote en masse for Schwartzenegger as well, a clue and a red flag.
Just as we haven't seen any more of that "Everybody is happy." idiocy from the Preditor so do we no longer hear anything of the possibility a firefighter started one if not more of these SoCal fires, buried forever.
Weight training (promoted in every prison system in the country), promotion of pharmeceuticals (steroids), desensitizing "guy flicks" all prove the name "Preditor" is warranted.
Less than 24 hours passed after a traffic accident on I-5 before Schwartzenegger declared a state of emergency, but it took over 2 full days before he did the same for the San Francisco Bay envionmental disaster incident. The gods are offering a clue.
The gods love reverse positioning, and this Austrian genocide issue is an OUTSTANDING example:::
There is symbolism between the two:::Hitler was an Austian-born leader of a foreign nation.
It appears as if Hitler is a monster. When Schwartzenegger does his thing he will appear as a hero, an enforcer of decency. Quite the opposite is true, ironically.
Monsters like Al Capone, violent gangsters from the 20s and 30s thought they were going up. Instead they were routed into the Nazi death camps::::This Austrian genocide event disposed of these monsters.
Schwartzenegger's genocide event will dispose of society's VICTIMS, people who are the way they are (abusive, abrasive, violent, criminal) BECAUSE of their disfavor.
People will say the Italians were pushed into it too, but I'd like to remind you black evidence is contradictory (crack, AIDS, etc). Italian evidence REINFORCES corruption (1906, ). Based on these clues it is safe to say the Italians are more disfavored than Africans.
Ironically, Hiter is the enforcer of decency. Schwartzenegger is the monster. But the movies already prove Schwartzenegger is a promoter of indencency, so when his genocide event happens there will be no secrets.
This exposure from me can change their script. Or, more appropriately said, alter the Manifest Destiny's senarios to fall in line with the god's script.
That means Schwartzenegger was never going to be used. But I think the evidence we have suggests he in fact IS the one foreshadowed with the Hitler figure, his genocide event foreshadowed with the Holocaust.
And, ironically, blacks will show up at the polls to vote for their own deaths.
There is one geographic clue I have not addressed in years:::Uranus, a planet tilted 90 degrees on its axis. I have stated in years past that I think this is a clue offered by the gods suggesting the fate of planet Earth, that tectonic plate subduction would be the method of disposal:::Earth’s axis will shift breaking continental plates free and initiating mass subduction.
Undesirables will either perish in the government marijuana erradication program "gone awry" or be the recipients of reparations granted by the US government because of it.
I believe the New Testiment battle of the Anti-Christ and the Second Coming of Christ will ocurr in subsequent years SPECIFICALLY because these people will be distracted with the money during the event.
When the Earth's axis shifts people will be cast into outer space with gold cards in hand.
I think this was foreshadowed on an episode of the Simpsons where Homer and Bart are on the disfavored ship and eject, only to experience a sense of euphoria, expand then explode in the vacuum of space.
Vienna was the center of the music world for a reason.
Any middle age person today remembers the excitement surrounding classical music in the mid-20th century.
Classical music was "in play". Expect the same "magic" was employed back then as well.
Motzart's ugly for a reason. Similarly, Schwartzenegger's appearance is suspect as well.
Well... where do I begin? Let's start with the typos (which I highlighted for your benefit). Now, I'm not a master typist by any stretch, but wouldn't you use a spell checker if you were sending out your grand manifesto?
Now... as to what "Manifest Destiny's WWII Project" was trying to say. umm... Ahnold is the anti-Christ, Hitler was an enforcer of decency, Al Capone was killed in a Nazi death camp, blacks are... well, I'm not sure what his point is about blacks. Then there's something about Uranus being tilted 90° and that's why people are going to die in marijuana eradication programs (huh???). The "gods" use The Simpsons to prophesy about the end times. Oh, yeah, and Mozart's ugly, and that's why we should be wary of The Governator.
I googled this moron- found a longer form of this drivel on fourteen other blogs. Evidently, Manifest Stupidity can't figure out how to put his "project" onto his own blog, so he has to toss it into our comments (and on an old post, no less. I guess he really doesn't want people to see his "important" message).
OK... feel free to take pot shots at him in the comments. Keep it PG (or PG-13 at worst)- don't forget the rules, ok?
